We wanted to build a top quality, minimum viable product that we could then scale and transform into full enterprise-grade software.

KindGeek's role was to be developers, advisors, and project managers.

KindGeek created a fully functioning MVP for a B2B web-based app, and transformed it into an into an enterprise-grade tool that is currently being used. Once we had screenshots of how we wanted the product to look, KindGeek actualized the project. They took it from database schema all the way to the color of the UI. The application is LEMP-based. They used Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP and AngularJS to develop it.

KindGeek also integrated the app with Authorised.net for payments, Twilio.com for automatic calls, and USPS.com for email address checking.

How did you come to work with KindGeek?

They were referred to us. I interviewed a few companies for this project, and they were a great fit.

What is the status of this engagement?

The original project is completed. We are planning a support phase that would add more features in the future.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

In the first month of using the app, my biggest client saw an increase of the amount of payment from their patients of 2.05 times. That same client has increased the volume of transactions through us by sevenfold in the last two months [winter 2016].

How did KindGeek perform from a project management standpoint?

They put in good efforts, but because I'm the type of guy who has a technical background, I was very involved with daily project management. I would handle everything from the business side and the UI, and they would handle everything on the tech side.

What distinguishes KindGeek from other providers?

KindGeek's human side set them apart. They're a unique combination of being humble, smart, being technically adept, and socially pleasant.

Is there anything KindGeek could have improved or done differently?

KindGeek did a great job. There are things I learned and things they learned throughout this project. Since we learned them and, hopefully, will do it differently the next time, I regard that as a success, even though it may have felt like a temporary failure.
