10 Talks That Matter: Decade of Knowledge Sharing

5 Mins read

For us, a decade is not just a number. It represents numerous projects that brought challenges and fueled creative thinking, valuable clients and partners with bright ideas and passion for innovation, and kind geeks, whose expertise and creativity bring everything to life.

A lot can happen in a 10-year journey. And in this series, we would like to try and reflect on some of the most important highlights and achievements of this journey that shaped Kindgeek and laid the foundation for many more years of innovation. We invite you to hop on board!

In an industry where information moves at the speed of light, the willingness to share and receive knowledge rather than hoard it has proven to be one of ur most powerful competitive advantages.

Our decade-long commitment to open knowledge sharing, through conferences, lectures, workshops, and community engagements, has truly impacted our company and our journey, allowing us to provide innovative and advanced solutions for our clients.

In this article, we will share 10 events we attended over the years (even though there are many more) that represent our unwavering belief that in the digital age, knowledge multiplies when shared.

Where We Could`ve Met

451°E Lviv

In 2017, we attended the 451°E Forum, which took place in Lviv. Annual Forum 451°Е is organised by the Lviv IT Office of the Lviv City Council to bring technology closer to ordinary people and discuss Ukrainian and global innovations. One of our core goals is to support our city and our country, where it is possible, so we could miss it.

One of the speakers on the forum was Anton Skrypnyk, CEO at KindGeek. His topic was “Hard talk: Philosophy vs Technology”. He acted like a true BlackMirror provocateur, asking hard questions to make the discussion more interesting and absorbing.

The Next Web

2017 was a productive knowledge-sharing year, as Anton Skrypnyk (our CEO) and Yuriy Gnatiuk (our COO) also attended one of the best conferences in Europe in the tech and IT-trends area — The Next Web Conference.

TNW Conference is a 2-day event at NDSM in Amsterdam, where startups, scaleups, and innovators showcase their new, big ideas. For over 18 years, TNW Conference has attracted thousands of entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and investors to Amsterdam. An event to inspire and be inspired. To forge new partnerships and new friendships.

Ukrainian Week in London

In 2018, our CEO, Anton Skrypnyk, had a great chance to participate in Ukrainian Week in London. Such an event was a great milestone for Ukraine and our IT sector, and it was a pleasure to be a part of this week.

Together with Klaus Sonnenleiter, CEO of  Luftronix and Nataly Veremeeva, CEO of Kyiv IT Cluster, Anton Skrypnyk, CEO of Kindgeek, had an interesting and valuable conversation about UK-Ukraine collaboration opportunities: The Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), FoodTech, Automotion/Robotics, and many more.

Startup Fundraising

A year later, we went back to London to organise our own event dedicated to Startup Fundraising: From Idea to Investment, which took place in London, together with our partner SeedLegals. At that time, Kindgeek already had a decent share of experience with startups and the surrounding investment hustle, so our co-founders were eager to share our insights and knowledge with other aspiring entrepreneurs.

The event took place at Huckletree, a workspace accelerator located among the twists and turns of the busy streets of London’s White City. Over 70 people eager to learn more attended.

Outsource People

Outsource People is an international specialised business conference in the field of software development services from Growth Factory. Since 2013, the conference has been held to exchange “best practices” between top managers of service IT companies in order to raise industry standards and expand the network of business contacts.

In 2019, this conference was really special, as Michael Kramarenko, CTO of Kindgeek, conducted a lecture on the art of delivery management, “Traps of Delivery or Delivery of Traps”, so those who attended the event had a rare opportunity to learn from the precious bits of experience and knowledge Michael shared.

AIT: Summer School

Artificial Intelligence Technology: Summer School is a project organised by the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The goal of this summer school is to attract the attention of students and young professionals to the topic of artificial intelligence and popularise this direction among IT students.

In 2023, Kindgeek was happy to participate and share our own experience. Our Senior Android Developer, Marta Balagurak, prepared a fascinating lecture “Android basics. Android development roadmap” for the school participants.

Ukrainian Outsourcing Summit

In 2024, this event brought together representatives from business, tech clusters, government, the financial sector, and donor organisations to discuss the challenges facing Ukrainian IT during the third year of the full-scale invasion. So, of course, we couldn`t miss it.

Valeriia Zamiatina, our PM, was the one who represented Kindgeek. Valeriia was happy to note that the program was thoughtfully structured: discussions on economic futures were immediately followed by practical advice for company growth. It was clear the summit targeted C-level participants, and being surrounded by like-minded professionals was incredibly inspiring!

ECOM21

ECOM21 – is a conference, oe should we none, the top fintech gathering, held in Riga, Latvia. Over the years (est. 2012), ECOM21 has established itself as a reputable and authoritative international platform, which successfully combines high-quality professional content, elite opportunities for networking, development of strategic business alliances and impressive Expert-Led program.

In 2024, our team was represented by our CTO, Michael Kramarenko; PM, Valeriia Zamyatina; Delivery Manager, Roxolana Slavych; and BA, Anastasiia Miedviedieva. These were two days full of valuable industry insights, effective networking, incredible people, and vibrant energy! And we are hopeful that that wasn`t our last visit!

iFX EXPRO

iFX EXPO is the online trading industry’s biggest event series bringing the world’s top fintech brands with like-minded professionals. It has grown into a global standard, providing every individual a hub to network, exchange ideas and grow their business.

At the beginning of this year, 2025, we also had a great opportunity to join, meet our valued clients, get acquainted with new partners, and explore the latest innovations in the fintech industry.

DES: Winter School

Data Engeneering and Security – is a certified, innovative online school offering in-depth exploration of topics in modern information technologies. Participation is entirely free, and students from IT-related specialities, regardless of their university or year of study, are welcome to join.

Pur project manager, Valeriia Zamyatina, delivered a lecture on “Project Management in Fintech”. She shared insights about the unique aspects of project management in the fintech sector, how teamwork and cooperation with stakeholders are organised, and typical risks encountered during project management.

The Future of Knowledge Sharing

As we reflect on these 10 knowledge-sharing milestones, we’re profoundly grateful for every opportunity we’ve had to both learn and teach. Each conference, lecture, and forum has enriched our journey. The conversations sparked, relationships forged, and insights gained through these exchanges will always be cherished.

Looking ahead, we’re excited by the possibilities that await us in our next chapter. The fintech landscape continues to evolve at breathtaking speed, promising new challenges and opportunities for collaborative innovation. We approach this future, knowing that our continued commitment to open knowledge sharing will guide us through whatever transformations lie ahead.
